Dance for Your Life
Dance of Life is a conscious movement practice celebrating the zest of life.
What is the Dance of Life?
A Dance of Life is a conscious movement journey to empathically selected music DJed live to the movements of the dancers. The overall purpose is to be present, to open up, and to do what matters.
Dance of Life has its roots in embodied conscious movement practices including 5 Rhythms, Movement Medicine, Open Floor and Soul Motion, but also draws upon modern scientific insight, especially in the form of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as a holistic framework. Hence, the subtly let dance enables us to be present in this moment, to be willing to allow and express our emotions, and to find a sense of valued intention to do what matters.
I am passionate about co-creating conscious movement spaces that enable us to make a difference for our daily lives and celebrate the zest of life while we are at it.
”Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.

What to Expect
A Dance of Life is typically held with a general theme in mind. The theme is an invitation that you can choose to follow, or choose to let go to explore your own dance.
A session starts with setting an individual intention for the dance and with awakening the dancer, that is, tuning in with breathing, body parts, and the space.
The dance often progresses through a Circle of the Elements—Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Ether—each as a gentle invitation to bring parts of us into the dance. It is accompanied by empathetic and evocative music beginning gently, rising in energy, and coming to rest towards the end of the session.
The dance may involve dancing deeply with our selves, making connections to others, or finding a sense of belonging in dancing as a group and witnessing one another move.
